“Accubrew is a subscription service because we value your privacy. AccuBrew will never use invasive ads or collect, share, or sell personal information to cover the costs of server space, support, or backend development. What’s yours is yours!”
The AccuBrew system is a visible light in-tank sensor controlled through an online application. The application combines and securely stores fermentation sensor data and Brewer’s Notes, creating a historical record brewers use to compare batches to ensure consistency and continuously improve their products. Fermentation data is accessible across devices 24/7 to share with staff, collaborating breweries, or, if you are a contract brewery, your customers. Fermentation Science students can also remotely monitor and share test results and communicate with team members and instructors.
The CIP ready AccuBrew sensor is a stainless steel, water resistant IoT device that mounts through a standard 1.5” TC port. It contains a highly accurate temperature sensor and uses low intensity visible light to monitor specific gravity, total sugar content, clarity, and temperature. The sensor does not emit UV light; it will not trigger photooxidation.
The AccuBrew sensor requires an online application to record and store the data to improve your products and provide the features necessary to monitor and share sensor data. The monthly subscription supports continued application development and device firmware upgrades as opposed to relying on intrusive popup ads or selling users’ personal info. The affordable sensor, along with a 60% discount on additional subscriptions and the option to pause subscriptions on demand, makes it affordable to monitor every tank.
The AccuBrew sensor is powered by a low voltage power adapter connected to an IP69K rated fitting by a 10 meter food grade cord. AccuBrew has hardwire power kits available for more permanent installations. The AccuBrew sensor requires a 110 VAC 60 Hz power source. The sensor has a backup battery and can be disconnected temporarily, but should remain connected to a power source when in use.
Yes. The AccuBrew sensor connects to the internet to receive start/stop commands and upload data to your account. The sensor connects to the internet through your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router. The sensor should remain connected to your Wi-Fi router when in use.
Every 15 minutes the CIP ready, Wi-Fi connected sensor records the temperature and emits visible light. Based on the amount of light returned to the sensor, and the temperature, specific gravity, fermentation, clarity, and temperature profiles are created. These profiles, along with notes recorded in the BrewBook, are used to compare batches to detect and understand changes in process to maintain consistency, provide oversight, and continuously improve.
AccuBrew automatically tests specific gravity 96 times every day, reducing manual testing by 80%. 3 AccuBrew sensors can save a typical brewery 64 hours a year in manual testing labor, valued at $1000.00 annually after subscription costs. Now instead of just one daily SG test, brewers have 96 opportunities every day to quickly react to out-of-range conditions and turn tanks at the right time, every time.
Yes! Brewers set the final gravity threshold and temperature over/under alert values. If either value deviates beyond those thresholds, an alert is sent to brewers’ phones. Brewers can then take immediate action to protect the batch and schedule. During a power outage or glycol system failure, just one AccuBrew sensor helps protect every tank on the same system.
The AccuBrew sensor has a 6 to 8 hour battery backup and the onboard memory can store multiple tests to protect data. In the event of a power failure, the sensor continues to test and store sensor data for 6-8 hours. Once power and Wi-Fi are restored, the sensor automatically uploads the stored data. If the backup battery dies during a power outage the sensor will automatically resume taking measurements when power is restored.
AccuBrew is a secure, data-driven service engineered to give brewers precision, real-time monitoring of what’s happening inside their tanks.
